Maintenance

1．Stains on instrument surface:if any solution is spilled on instrument surface,we need to absorb and dry it by using soft paper or cotton cloth.If the liquid is dry and turn to stains,we can wipe it by wetting soft paper or cotton cloth with organic solvent like Methanol or acetone.But it can not be removed if the solvent is reacted and mixed with paintings after a long time.

2．During the process of installation and using,we must make sure that all the connection is correct and check if there is electricity leakage often.

3．If the color of silica gel turns to be red or white,we need change it in time,or heat it in oven at 105℃,when it’s turn to be blue,put it in drying pipe and use it normally after being cooled to normal temperature.

4．We need to check if the waste liquid bottle is full or not during the process of discharging waste solution.Users can buy bigger waste liquid bottle by your selves.

5．The color of reaction cup may be dark which is caused by electrode passivation.At the moment,wash the electrode with potassium dichromate.It’s suggested to soak for  10-20s.

6．When test some sample for several times continuously,especially the sample with extremely low moisture,the test data may be higher and higher,and the accuracy is lower and lower.Now please discharge the solution in reaction cup totally and absorb new Methanol repeatedly,test again after making Blank.

7．If the instrument isn’t used for a long time,we need to clean it as per rules and make the piston on the top of tube as much as possible,to reduce the retention quantity of reagent in tube.  

8.Karl Fisher Reagent has strong corrosion.If the instrument isn’t used for a long time,we must evacuate it and wash with Methanol.You can used the function of “Shutdown and Clear”in instrument or clean it manually.

9．Users should not only check the liquid leakage in lines but also pay attention to cylinder.The regular situation is that the leakage is caused by ware piston and the fluid flows along the tube wass or push rod.Here,you must stop using the instrument and change the piston according to manual,wipe the leaked reagent with soft paper or cotton cloth simultaneously.      

10.If the sealed components are ware for long time use,it may cause the liquid to flow into instrument body.Now we must stop to use and check the inner situation.
